Airlines Which Charge For Bassinet Seat Selection

As an ex flight attendant and a parent, I’ve used various different airline bassinets to help my baby sleep on a flight, and helped many other parents with my old airline. However, more and more airlines are now charging for bassinet seat selection, and some are quite sneaky in how they market it. i.e saying there is no charge for using the bassinet, but then state as they are located in ‘preferred seating’ areas, there is a charge for choosing that seat- even when flying with a baby.

It’s an indirect extra charge for parents which is catching some people unawares as often the airline websites are not clear on this information.

I’ve collated information and directly contacted many airlines to find out as much information about which airlines charge for the bulkhead seats where their bassinets are positioned.

This is the first analysis of which airlines charge for bassinets, although I do highlight a quick comparison and information of over 60 airllines bassinet dimensions (age of baby, weight of baby, and if they charge.) which is super useful if you are deciding who to book with or need to know what your airline provides.

Do let me know of your additional experience in the comments so I keep this updated.
