We’re here to guide you through some of the best Disney Wish Cruise activities you can do on board, so you won’t forget to do them! (We forgot a couple!) I’ve added a checklist so you can mark which ones are must dos and then find them when you are onboard and can use the Navigator App – some you will need to book in advance, so an * is added to those ones.

Disney Wish Cruise Activities You Won’t Want to Miss!

Whether you’re new to cruising or a seasoned sailor, this guide ensures you won’t miss a thing. So, get ready to embark on an incredible journey where dreams turn into reality!

Top 10 Things to Do on the Disney Wish

Must-Do Activities for Families on the Disney Wish

Now, let’s get to the heart of the Disney Wish Cruise, where you’ll discover a treasure trove of adventures. I’ve organized these Disney Wish Cruise activities into categories to help you navigate your journey through this amazing experience.

With such a diverse range of activities, there’s something for everyone, no matter your age or what you love!

Fun for the Whole Family

When you’re cruising with your loved ones, it’s all about creating those magical moments together. And guess what? The Disney Wish has a bunch of activities that’ll bring big smiles to everyone’s faces.

Disney Uncharted Adventure:

Now, this one’s a real treat for all ages. It’s called Disney Uncharted Adventure, and it’s like Disney storytelling on turbo mode.

You’ll team up with Captain Minnie, Captain Mickey, and your favorite Disney pals on a quest to save the day. But here’s the twist: you’re armed with enchanted spyglasses (well, actually your mobile device and the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app) to unlock puzzles and adventures inspired by Disney classics like Moana, Tiana, Peter Pan, and more.

And of course, there’s a villain or two to face off against – because what’s an adventure without some bad guys?

The Marvel Avengers Disney Wish Cruise

Hero Zone:

For those of you who love a bit of action and competition, the Hero Zone is one of the best things to do on a Cruise. You’ve got game-show-style contests, fitness classes, and even classic sports like basketball and soccer.

But the real fun starts with the Incredi-Games – an inflatable obstacle course. These challenges are all about our favorite “Incredibles” characters. We missed out on this fun as we completely forgot! I believe it was day 2 activity at 09.30 with an Incredi Course at 1.30pm and only runs once for the duration of the cruise, so do favourite it as soon as you see it and set a reminder.

Oh, and if you have a crawler baby, don’t miss the adorable chaos of Jack-Jack’s Incredible Diaper Dash competition. There’s even a balcony where you can cheer on the contestants.

For Kids

The Disney Wish has a world of wonder waiting for young cruisers. Here are some cool activities designed just for the little ones on board. But first up, don’t miss heading down the slide to Oceaneer’s Club. During Open House, adults can zoom down too! It’s meant to be a nod to Alice in Wonderland and sliding down the rabbit hole.

Disney’s Oceaneer’s Club for ages 3 to 10

  • Inside the Oceaneer Club, there are special spaces for different age groups and different interests.
  • The Fairytale Hall is where your little ones can hang out with beloved princesses like Rapunzel, Belle, Anna, and Elsa. with Belle’s Library, Rapunzel’s art studio and more

  • Marvel Super Hero Academy

For older kids:

  • Vibe – ages 14-17
  • Hideaway for those aged 18-20

When we went my eldest was allowed in the Oceaneers Club but now unless it’s open house, she wouldn’t be allowed. Which would have meant my youngest wouldn’t have wanted to stay. Open House is during set hours every day when anyone can access the kids’ clubs and have a look around and explore. Any events in the areas are set during Open House hours, so no one needs to miss out.

And guess what? Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie themselves drop by, making it extra exciting for the little ones.

“It’s a Small World” Nursery:

If you’ve got really little ones aged 6 months to 3 years, you can rest easy. There’s the “it’s a small world” Nursery, a daycare center inspired by the beloved Disney attraction.

It’s a whimsical and safe space for your little ones to relax and play. Specially trained counselors are there to make sure they’re well taken care of and some special Disney friends even come to visit. It’s all about that extra sprinkle of magic.

Special Clubs for Teens and Tweens and Young Adults

Teenagers and young adults are all about finding experiences that match their unique interests and passions. Well, on the Disney Wish, your kids are in for an awesome experience because there are dedicated spaces just for them.

First up is Edge, made for youngsters aged 11 to 14. It’s a lively space where they can socialize and get into all sorts of fun Disney Cruise activities.

The Bayou Lounge Bar Disney Wish Cruise

The Bayou:

The Bayou, a captivating lounge aboard the Disney Wish Cruise, draws inspiration from the enchanting world of Disney Animation Studios’ “The Princess and the Frog.” This vibrant space, adorned with magnolia blossoms, lily pads, and twinkling fireflies, mirrors the magical Louisiana swamp from the animated film.

Guests can immerse themselves in the atmosphere while enjoying live musical performances and indulging in delightful New Orleans-inspired refreshments.

Water Activities on the Disney Wish

Nothing beats a day by the pool on a cruise, right? Well, good news! Your Disney Wish cruise activities schedule is about to include a bunch of watery fun for all ages.

Pools:

The Disney Wish has ten awesome pools and play areas all inspired by Disney characters. There’s the Toy Story Splash Zone with big floaties and the Slide-a-Saurus Rex for some thrilling slides.

What sets it apart is that, unlike regular ships, the Disney Wish features these charming smaller pools on various decks. It creates a cozier, more intimate atmosphere.

Families can kick back in a laid-back pool area, while adults have their very own retreat known as Quiet Cove, where it’s all about serenity. With these ten fantastic water features, the Disney Wish promises a boatload of aquatic fun for everyone.

AquaMouse Adventure:

You might have heard of the AquaDuck on previous ships, but the Disney Wish takes things to a whole new level with AquaMouse. It’s a groundbreaking water attraction that marks Disney’s first-ever venture into sea-based entertainment.

The Aqua Mouse on Disney Wish Cruise

Stretching across 760 feet of twisting tubes and offering breathtaking ocean vistas, this thrilling water coaster draws inspiration from the beloved Mickey Mouse animated shorts.

Guests are in for an immersive experience filled with captivating show scenes, dynamic music, and mesmerizing lighting effects as they zip, spiral, and plunge.

My top tips for getting a turn on this, is either go on as soon as you board the Wish. Have your swimmers and change of clothes with you in your carryon. Alternatively, go when everyone else has disembarked for Nassau or Castaway Cay. Note you are only allowed Gopro etc if they are attached to you.

Choosing the Right Cruise

To make the right choice when it comes to your cruise, think about what you prefer in terms of how long you want to be on board, where you’d like to travel, which Disney Island does it stop at if applicable (Castaway Cay or Lighthouse Point) and what kind of activities you enjoy.

And here’s a neat tip: if you’re looking to double up on Disney fun, consider starting your cruise journey from Port Canaveral and even adding a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. And don’t forget to keep an eye out for special holiday-themed cruises, such as Halloween or Christmas voyages!

Packing Essentials

Pack wisely for your cruise adventure. Essentials should include comfortable clothing, swimwear, sunscreen, and formal attire for themed dinners and special events.

Booking Excursions

Research and book your shore excursions in Nassau in advance to make the most of your onshore experiences at various ports of call.

Navigating the Disney Wish is as easy as following a star in the night sky. Let’s explore how to traverse this magical vessel effortlessly:

Aboard the Disney Wish Cruise

The Disney Wish is the newest gem in Disney Cruise Line’s fleet, joining the ranks of the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, and Disney Fantasy. It’s a real beauty, part of the Triton class, and it’s the largest ship in the fleet, ready to host up to 4,000 passengers.

This marvelous vessel set sail on its first voyage in July 2022, ushering in a new era of cruising. You’ll find a whopping 1,254 staterooms on board, a fantastic 90% of them offer scenic ocean views.

Disney Cruise Line has worked its magic to bring Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar stories to life at sea. In a heartwarming tradition, the Disney Wish names all Make-A-Wish children as its cherished godchildren, carrying on the tradition of choosing a “godmother” for the ship.

And when you step onto the ship, you’ll be welcomed by a bronze-sculpted Cinderella in the Grand Hall. This is just a taste of the incredible Cinderella Castle that awaits, paying homage to the iconic symbol of Walt Disney World
