Majorca is known as being family-friendly with an abundance of restaurants, beaches and plenty of things for kids to do. This guide to our readers favourite All-Inclusive Family Hotels in Majorca will help you to make the decision which best accommodates you and your family, based on recommendations from Flying with a Baby readers and the one we stayed in.

Below you will find out whether the hotel has water slides, kids’ club, tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, is near the beach, has a playground and other activities & more.

The weather highs of 30 degrees may be a little too much for you in July and August, but October – (perhaps for half term) to May offer highs of 24 but can be a little cooler in the evenings. To read more on the best times to visit Majorca with kids, this post details more on what you can do at certain times of the year and what is open if you ever want to leave your all inclusive hotel.

Protur Bonaire Cala Bonaire – Cala Bona 4*

Protur Aparthotel Bonaire is one of the first hotels we stayed in with our toddler. It’s a 4-star hotel, set in spacious grounds, aimed at families. The hotel includes a winding, river-style pool and a children’s splash park with slides and a giant pirate ship with a slide! The shallow splash area around the ship was perfect for her and the All Inclusive ice-creams are on tap all day right next to this pool.

It is a short, two- minute walk from a sandy and shingle beach with a great pizza place that we visited a couple of times.

The resort of Cala Bona is around a ten-minute walk away with Cala Millor, a bigger resort, a little further away.

At Protur Aparthotel Bonaire there are options of either half-board or all inclusive with the option of visits to an a la carte restaurant. We went All inclusive but still ate out a couple for times just outside the hotel. The food is what I would call normal – nothing amazing but perfectly edible. I would have liked to have seen more Spanish dishes. Breakfast was always nice.

Rooms contain a kitchenette and air conditioning and have a separate room and living area with sofa bed and ample space for a cot.

  • 1 bedroom apartments with living area with sofa bed and ample space for a cot.
  • Kitchenette
  • Pirate ship with water slide
  • Children’s pool
  • Playground
  • Kids’ Club
  • Soft Play

We stayed here with our 18 month old who LOVED the kids’ club and the pool area! We liked the separate room so when she went to sleep, we could stay up and enjoy some wine and chat.

A day trip we enjoyed was heading to the Caves of Drach – the boat and the orchestra was incredible in the caves and then a meal at Quince at Porto Cristo. Check out Trip Advisor reviews here or TUI package deals here. It’s not on Booking but Trivago also offer deals.

Good for: Families who like to be within walking distance of a small town and a shallow splash pool for little ones.

Pirates Village 3* Santa Ponsa

If you’re looking for a busy complex full of fantasy this is the place for you! The Pirates Village hotel is themed all around pirates. The one bedroomed apartments have a separate lounge area (and sofa beds) and children are invited to take part in pirate games to protect the pool in the splash park. The kids’ club is free and open to those 3+ with no pre-booking required.

Readers of Flying With a Baby have said they preferred the Terrace rooms. These have their own sunbeds and private garden (with a gate so little ones can’t access the pool). This means you don’t have to rush for the sun beds and it’s just easier to go back to your room or let the kids nap whilst you can sunbathe.

The Pirates Village features several swimming pools with slides, a games room and a movie theatre. There is also a weekly pirate show!

Board wise, you can choose options of self-catering or all-inclusive with a pool bar and a buffet restaurant. There is only one main restaurant so all inclusive might be a bit much for you for a week or longer. )You can upgrade if you want to). A reader from our 90,000 strong Travel With Babies and Toddler FB group, mentioned the cocktails are from a machine, so just something to bear in mind. If you are self catering there is a supermarket next door and a bakery.

The hotel is close to nearby restaurants and bars and is 400m from the nearest beach. All rooms comprise of: TV (some English TV channels including CBBC) wifi, a safety deposit box, a hairdryer, A kitchenette with kettle, fridge, microwave and air conditioning.  It’s not far to Palma, making it a short transfer from the airport or city visit.

Good for: This hotel is perfect for any pirate fanatic families! Good value and a lot offered for a 3 star

There are three pools; a splash pool with mini slides for the little ones, a giant crab with three slides into a deeper (1-1.3m) pool and a larger two part pool with a shallow area and a deeper section.

A Flying With a Baby reader adds, this hotel has “amazing suites, great facilities and the food was yummy. A minutes walk from the sea. Going back this year as it was the easiest holiday ever.  Rooms were very spacious and had separate double bed for kids. Kids facilities were great- pools, clubs, entertainment all fab. And it’s not massive so feels very safe. There is a separate kids’ food serving bit as well” Jet2 offer holidays to this hotel as do TUI. TUI Protur Safari Park 4*

Protur Safari Hotel

Visitors speak highly of the 4-star Protur with six pools, plenty of restaurants and bars and the option of swim-up rooms.

The all-inclusive board has four themed restaurants and there are shops, bars and restaurants just a 10-minute walk away. Rooms all have air conditioning and a balcony.

Room options are a twin bedroom, and a 1 bedroom apartment that features a lounge, and some kitchen facilities including a small fridge, a microwave, a toaster and kettle.

The Protur is near the beach and has a good kids’ club. Other activities include two mini golf courses, playground and table tennis tables.

There is a water park which is open between June and September plus a free shuttle bus to travel to the nearby resort of Cala Millor, various activities and entertainment and even a spa for the adults to enjoy. We liked Cala Millor to have a mooch around – expect tourist shops, souvenirs, little mini marts and ice-cream places.

You can catch the little train from outside the hotel reception to Cala Millor (Stop 10). You can also walk down to the Burger King by the beach to catch it, as it can fill up quite quickly.  It costs about 18€ for 3 adults and 2 kids return or use a taxi which works about the same cost.

Entertainment was great for the kids on an evening too. Everything is close by including the shops outside of the hotel. The pool had slides that were great for adults and teenagers as well as our 3 years old but the hotel also has a great baby / toddler pool next to the bigger one.
