Minion Land is a new area at Universal Studios Florida that opened in August 2023. It is themed to the popular “Despicable Me” movies and features two attractions:
- Despicable Me Minion Mayhem is a 3D motion simulator ride that takes guests on an adventure with the Minions.
- Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast is an interactive dark ride where guests can blast their way to supervillain stardom.
Whilst Minon Mayhem has been open for a few years, Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast is the newest attraction addition to Minion Land. It is an interactive dark ride that lets guests test their skills as they battle the Vicious 6.
Guests will use their E-Liminator X blasters to shoot at targets throughout the ride, earning points and rewards along the way.

Unleash your inner villain with this unique twist on interactive rides at Villain Con! Experience a fresh ride by stepping onto a moving walkway with Eliminator-X blasters in hand.
Aim, fire at targets, and score points with each precise shot. Little ones have their own smaller blasters too!
But it’s more than just a game – it’s a quest for glory! Join the Vicious 6, compete for the top villain spot, and cause controlled chaos. This friendly face-off suits all ages, with the mission to create thrilling havoc.
Universal’s App transforms this ride from just a ‘one and done” to a competitive experience where you can work your way up the evi ranks. With the app’s numerous missions, each with its own demands: Complete a mission and claim virtual rewards on the app.
Keep in mind, to ride, children need to be at least 122 cm (48 inches) tall. Also, hand-held infants are not permitted to ride.

Die-hard Universal fans already know that Minion Mayhem has long been a cherished classic, so if it’s rides in Minion Land we’re talking about, it just has to be included!
