Features of the Tula Lite Travel Baby Carrier
The biggest attraction to this carrier is by far that it can be neatly packed into its attached waistband; an absolute must when you are already juggling a changing bag and other baby essentials!
Not only does this travel carrier fit into the waistband, but there is also room for wipes and a diaper/nappy for on the go changes or could be used for your cell/phone or keys meaning one less thing to worry about!

The waistband has a snug fit and sits comfortably on your hips and although it takes a little adaptation to make sure the rest of the carrier fits well – there are very clear instructions with pictures in the instructions which makes this super easy – you are then able to wear baby without the help of an additional adult to buckle you up.
This was vital for me with two children and needing to take my older child out. We completed an Easter egg hunt, went to the park and I’ve even managed to catch up on housework when the baby is very clingy!

How To Use The Tula Baby Carrier
Once fitted correctly, the carrier is incredibly comfortable giving me my hands back but also making sure baby feels safe and secure.
Personally, it takes a few practice attempts to ensure that the carrier is fitted in the correct way to suit you and your baby, so trying it out at home saves unwanted hassle and wasted time when you’re on the go and need the carrier.
The Tula Lite carrier can be used on the front with baby facing either way (essential if you have a nosey baby or a baby who needs distraction!), or on the back for when baby begins to weigh more or you need your hands free.
Only use back carry position when child has demonstrated strong and consistent head and neck control.
Again, the instructions make this very easy to change alongside the needs of your baby, allowing flexibility when learning how to wear a Tula baby carrier.
This compact baby carrier really grows with your baby providing adequate support for babies head when they are still needing support but allowing them to explore when the time is right.

Temperature control
My biggest concern when using a carrier was the temperature of myself and the baby. However, the Tula Lite is made from woven Ripstop material which is often used for sportswear and outdoor clothing due to its ability to keep you cool but also being incredibly durable.
Walks and getting outside are beneficial for both parent and baby but the English weather where this was reviewed has a habit of getting in the way of this!

The Tula Lite comes equipped with a detachable hood which shelters baby from any unfavourable weather!

Tula Lite Travel Baby Carrier Review
The positives far outweigh any cons for this carrier due to its compact size and the airflow created by the design and material.
The carrier is comfortable for both wearer and baby and the handy pocket is great for easy access.

Although the carrier works well when fitted, if several people are using the carrier it may be difficult to adjust the straps quickly, and safely as per the instructions, to be swapped between users.
With practice this might get easier but would definitely need to be considered if you intend to swap often between users. Conveniently, Baby Tula have a free video consultation so you can check the fitting. I baby wear sporadically but know that carrying baby for some is an essential way to get through the day.

The carrier is robust but it may be worth considering one with a little more structure if using frequently, especially with babies of a smaller size or with weak head control.
Overall, if you need a carrier to help release your hands for parts of everyday life, a plane ride, a day out or just to settle baby, the Tula Lite is a good value carrier for the job. The extra storage for nappies/diapers, wipes, change of clothes etc is very useful when in use.
The maximum capacity of 3 lbs (1.4 kg) when using the storage pocket for personal items while carrying a child.
