The Best Family Tours In Paris

Sharing is caring!

Paris is a truly amazing city to visit with your family.  Not only is it beautiful, but there is so much to do!  One of the best ways to see a great deal of what Paris has to offer, and keep your family entertained is to go on tours.  Paris has tons of them, so how do you know which ones to choose?  Don’t worry, we’ll take you through some of the best family tours in Paris!

The Best Family Tours In Paris

Getting Around Paris

Table of Contents - Click to jump to a section

Before you go running off on any of the tours, you want to be sure you know how to get around Paris so that you can easily get to the meet-up spots for tours.  The good news is that Paris is relatively easy to navigate whether you are staying in Paris, visiting Disneyland Paris or travelling further afield.

Metro

The Paris metro system is a good way to travel when you’re getting around Paris.  Children under 4 are free.  Adults cost €1.90, making it an affordable way to travel as well.  It is easy to use and will take you where you need to go.

If you have little ones using a stroller, getting around Paris with a toddler means be prepared to carry the stroller up and down the stairs if using the Metro.  Fold it up to make your job easier or use a travel stroller.  The Paris metro is an older system so it’s not built for maximum stroller accessibility with lifts rare and few between.

Walking

Paris is a very walkable city and easy to duck in and out of attractions even on a gloomy day in winter.  For older kids, this is a great way to get some of their energy out. For the younger ones, most places and sites are stroller accessible. You can see some amazing sites on foot, and Paris is a manageable size for walking. You can help keep older kids entertained on the go with some fun facts about Paris.

Get A Paris Pass

You already know that most children are not very patient by nature.  Waiting in line isn’t pleasant for anyone, but with your whole family, it can turn into an ugly situation pretty quickly.  If you want to avoid whining, complaining, tantrums, or the like, getting a Paris Pass is totally worth it.  It will give you preferential entry to many of the great Paris attractions, and you’ll avoid at least one source of chaos.  This is a must-have for many of the things to do in Paris with your family.
