Places to Meet Santa in Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire & Rutland 2018
It may seem like summer has only just passed, but some of the opportunities to meet Santa started selling from September 1st! So, to avoid disappointment, here are all the local places to meet Santa. I’ve just booked ours, which one will you visit?
Meet Santa in Cambridgeshire

Dobbies: Peterborough and Kings Lynn November 18th -24th December
Book for the Father Christmas Grotto for £9.99 or breakfast or tea with Father Christmas for £11.99 (Note – adults attending the events will need a ticket, starting at £5.99.) Advance booking is required for breakfast or tea with Santa – tickets are not available to buy on the day.
Doddington Hall & Gardens: Doddington December 1st – December 21st Thursdays and Sundays only
0-2yrs £5.50 each | 3-6yrs £8 each | 7-12yrs £8 each
Tickets include a visit to Father Christmas, a small present per child and admission to see the House decorated for Christmas.
Note: All children must be accompanied by a paying adult (House admission £11 per adult, max 2 adults per child).
There is also the Christmas at Doddington event running from November 25th to December 21st.
Fenland Light Railway: Ramsey, Huntingdon 2, 8, 9 and 15th December, 10am-5pm. Advance booking required.
Enjoy a train ride around the track and end your journey at Santa’s Grotto. Meet Santa and receive a present and then board the train again back to the station. On arrival, enjoy the seasonal refreshments included in the ticket price. £7.50 per child and one free accompanying adult. Additional adults £2.00
Nene Valley Railway – Wansford From 24th November to 24th December
The popular Santa Express has tickets on sale NOW! Every child receives a present from Santa in his log cabin. On-train entertainment adds to the festive cheer as well as refreshments, children’s crackers and of course Santa popping by to say hello. Please note you may be sat with other passengers in Classic Santa. We suggest large groups arrive early in order to secure seats together. First Class option is available too for £20-£25. There are other premium options available too! Tickets start from £15 and under 1’s are free.
Notcutts: Orton Waterville, Peterborough – weekends only from Nov 18th to December 23rd, and also on Christmas Eve.
Tickets need to be pre-purchased online and all children receive a gift from Santa. £7.50 From Sat 9th December there are also breakfast ( from £4.95 adult, £11.00 child) and from Friday 15th December tea events with Santa (from £6.95 adult, from £11.00 child)
Queensgate Centre: Peterborough – TBA
Sacrewell Farm – Wansford Available Daily from 1st until 24th December except Mondays.
Come and visit Santa at Sacrewell before he boards his sleigh. Each Santa visit includes a present for the children and Christmas themed crafts. Other activities* including Christmas crafts, tractor rides around the farm, and marshmallow toasting by campfire are also taking place. • Please arrive at least one hour before your chosen time slot to see Santa. Christmas Child (2-12) – £12.49, Christmas Adult (13+) – £7.00, Christmas Concession – £5.60, Christmas Under 2 – £5.00 (On the day prices are higher.)
A further option is breakfast with Santa. From 9.30-10.30 on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th, 15th and 16th of December, Santa will be interrupting his busy schedule to join those wanting to start their festive day at Sacrewell. Following your meal, Santa invites you to a little storytelling and presents each child with a small gift. From £7.50 for children, £10 for adults.
Wicken Fen Nature Reserve (National Trust) Wicken, Ely – Selected dates between 8th and 23rd December
Follow the Christmas trail to find Father Christmas, but remember to wrap up warm! Then visit the elves in the workshop and make some Christmas crafts to take home. £10 per child at various set times. Book in advance. (Dogs not allowed)
Wyevale Garden Centre Huntingdon 18th November to 24th December.
Choose to have breakfast or tea with Santa where the whole family meets Santa and children decorate a festive biscuit and choose a present to take home. There is also a pre-bookable grotto at this location, with the arrival parade on Saturday 18th from 11am. Plant and grow a real magical mini Christmas tree to decorate and take home. A child’s breakfast or tea is £10.95
Meet Santa in Lincolnshire
Baytree Winter Wonderland : Spalding – 3rd November – 24th December (times vary – check website for more details).
26,000 sq ft of a magical wonderland. Wind your way through snow-covered trees, watch elves hard at work and singing reindeer. Extremely popular on December weekends. Every child who visits Santa gets a present (£10) Accompanying adults & children £2.00. For Winter Wonderland only £2.00
Lincoln Castle: Sat 15th, Sun 16th, Thurs 20th, Fri 21st, Sat 22nd & Sun 23rd Dec
Sit back and listen to stories of Christmases from the past and enjoy finding out more about Father Christmas himself. Every child will receive a Victorian style gift and have the opportunity to share their Christmas wishes. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. Children £8, Adults £6.
Lincolnshire Wolds Railway : Ludborough 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th December. Bookings are now being taken for this ‘magical Christmas treat like no other’, where children get a specially chosen present from Santa on the train and grown-ups get a small gift too. £12pp
Normanby Hall: Scunthorpe TBA
Rand Farm: Lincoln 24th November -23 December
The Real Christmas Experience at Rand Farm Park is an immersive Christmas journey through extensively themed zones. Decorate a biscuit with Mrs Claus, travel through our Magical Forest and learn to be a real Elf in Elf Academy before meeting Santa himself and choosing a toy from his secret toy shop! New for this year; enrol at Santa’s music school!
£15.95 per child (online price), £10.95 per adult (online price).
Waterside Garden Centre: Baston From 1st December ( Price varies)
Enjoy breakfast, or tea with Santa where you receive a visit from Santa and a gift plus magical reindeer dust. Decorate your own cookie. the experience lasts for approx 80 mins. You can also book an ice-skating experience where each session lasts 45 minutes (Ice skating from 24th November).
Wyevale Garden Centre: Crowland, Wolds View, Louth 18th November to 24th December
Choose to have breakfast or tea with Santa where the whole family meets Santa and children decorate a festive biscuit and choose a present to take home. There is no grotto at this location. A child’s breakfast or tea is £10.95
Meet Santa in Northamptonshire
Barnwell Country Park TBA
Northampton & Lambert Railway: Chapel Brampton, Northampton Weekends only from 25th November – 23rd December 10.30 -3.30pm
Come along to visit Santa in his Magical Grotto and then take a train ride along the Northampton & Lamport Railway from Pitsford and Brampton station. each child receives a gift from Santa, a soft drink and biscuits. Adults receive a glass of sherry or a soft drink and a mince pie. Prices start at £5 for infants, £11 for children and £10 for adults.
Whilton Locks Garden Village: Daventry – Weekends only from 24th November, then every day from 15th-24th December, 11am -4.30pm £9.99 plus a gift. No need to pre-book.
This years theme is Winter Wonderland and there will even be an ice-rink! You can also have Breakfast With Santa.

Hi - there is a great one near us in Armagh, where a village has converted an old school into Santa's Grotto, with hot chocolate, reindeers and everything.

These sound brilliant! We've already booked a few local to us as well. We've been to the Wyvale breakfast with Santa before and we all loved it. Cooked breakfast for the adults and Santa for the children. What's not to love?? #familytraveltips Nat.x

oh Wow, this list is incredible!!! We just go to see the Santa in our local electronics store (!) and wait for about 30 minutes. This sounds a lot more elaborate! #familytraveltips
