There are some incredible resort style indoor water parks within Europe, making them ideal destinations when you can’t guarantee the weather. Most of these places on my list for best indoor waterparks in Europe with onsite accommodation, offer fabulous outdoor water attractions and facilities to – so they really are ideal family places to visit in all the seasons.

When you rent a holiday home at Lalandia, you gain free entry to Scandinavia’s largest waterpark. Holiday cottages are located in the area around the Lalandia tropical holiday centre and fully kitted out.
The Aquadome in Lalandia is Scandinavia’s largest waterpark with a tropical climate. Whiz down the fun water slides, ride the waves in the wave pool or sit back and savour life in one of the hot jacuzzis. The waterpark also offers wellness experiences and relaxation for both children and adults.

Europa Park in Germany has the new Rulantica indoor water park open all year round from 10am to 10pm. It’s situated next to the resorts sixth themed hotel ‘Krønasår’. The water park has an elaborate Nordic theme and 25 exciting attractions, including 17 water slides, a huge wave pool, a 250-meter lazy river. Hotel guests have direct access to the adjacent new indoor water world via a bridge.
The new 4* superior themed hotel ‘Krønasår’ is modelled after a natural history museum with a pretty coloured exterior reminiscent of Copenhagen. The theming is on point with standard rooms fitting up to 6 with bunkbeds themed as giant suitcases. Rooms have replica specimen drawers just like a real museum! Duinrell Holiday park and Indoor and outdoor aquapark
Duinrell is rapidly becoming known to the UK market and for good reason. Not only can you stay at the onsite holiday park nestled in the nature reserve and explore other local attractions, but the indoor and outdoor aquapark has 21 unique slides. There is even an indoor lazy river and a special indoor water park for toddler and younger kids. You can stay onsite in lodges, camp or even bungalows. Access to the waterpark is included with a stay in a ‘Duingalow’ or Lodgetent.
The pool is open every day between April and October from 10 am till 10 pm & open most days between November and March (usually closed on Mondays and during the middle of January)
Slagaharen has a waterpark, a themepark and you can stay onsite. Discover more than 30 attractions, 10 water slides in Aqua Mexicana, Sunny Beach and the live shows! . The park includes an indoor Rocky Mountains themed pool, a beach-style outdoor pool and a 4D cinema. There are 40 different rides, rollercoasters and monorail. Hoogeveen is 20 minutes’ drive from the park. The border with Germany is only 9.3 miles away. Vakantiepark Slagharen is a 30-minute drive from the town of Zwolle. Eelde Airport is 35 miles away and Amsterdam Schipol 75 miles away.
Alton Towers also has an indoor and outdoors water park. The Alton Towers Waterpark is located within the Splash Landings Hotel, with some amazing themed rooms, including a frozen ice cave and a pirates lair. The water park includes a lazy river, the Bubbly Wubbly Pool, a tipping bucket, lots of thrilling chutes and slides, a Wacky Waters Treehouse with over 70 interactive activities and a special area for little ones. The following indoor waterparks, don’t have hotels attached but there are plenty of accommodation options nearby.
Water at 29°C, thrilling attractions inspired by tropical places, fun slides, a wave pool and jacuzzi with plenty of attractions for younger ones too.
Located a few kilometres from Brussels, not far from the Walibi amusement park, Aqualibi can easily be reached by train or car.
Sandcastle Waterpark is the UK’s largest Indoor Waterpark with more than 18 fantastic slides and attractions in a tropical 84 degree climate. For thrill seekers there is the Master Blaster, the world’s longest Indoor Roller Coaster waterslide, Aztec Falls, Sidewinder and more.
